One of the first things doctors do before putting down an animal is perform a head-to-toe examination. This includes looking in their mouth, under their tongue, checking their eyes, ears, paws and fur for any abnormalities such as red blotches or swelling.
If one of these symptoms is present, then unfortunately, the doctor will have to proceed with administering euthanasia medication. However, at least your beloved pet will no longer suffer from the painful effects of rabies.
Another way to tell if your cat has rabies is by performing a direct test. A saliva sample can easily be gathered using a sterile swab stick. After collecting the sample, the laboratory can confirm whether or not the virus is present by doing either a fluorescent antibody stain (FA) test or PCR testing.

When your cat is experiencing frequent urination or an increased amount of urine, it may indicate something more serious than just a passing illness. This can be a symptom of kidney disease, infection, or other health conditions. Fortunately, there are some things you can do to help identify the cause of your kitty's frequent trips to the litter box. If you find out what’s causing their repeated visits, you can start treating the problem immediately.
It is very important to determine if your pet has urinary tract infections (UTIs) by checking their urine for color, consistency, and smell. If these are abnormal, then you need to see your veterinarian right away.

The easiest way to know if your cat is sick is by checking his or her body temperature. You can do this with a gun-like device that measures temperatures.
You’ll need to have someone help you hold the device against your cat’s mouth for several minutes, until a thermometer registers normal body heat. (This happens very quickly since cats don’t warm up as easily.)
Then, depending on what kind of symptoms your cat has, workers will refer to charts to determine whether the fever is low, medium, or high. If it’s a high fever, then they may recommend giving your cat some medicine so she can get better more rapidly.

When a domesticated cat eats some cat nip, what happens depends on whether you as a parent gave them access to it beforehand or not.
If you are ever unsure if your cat has ingested cat nip by looking at her/him self, then check the price list on this article!
Luckily, there are very few instances where eating cat nip can be harmful for your kitty. Sometimes however, cat owners claim that their furry friend did not seem to be affected after ingesting cat nip, but they later suffer from health issues.

any animals develop special defenses to protect them from external threats like predators. Some species use loud noises or vibrations as a way to startle away potential danger. Others retreat into dens or caves in case of threat.
But what about protecting yourself? Many small mammals have been documented using their fur for self-defense against larger dogs or other animals.
Cat owners may be familiar with this phenomenon — if your cat is ever face-to-face with another dog or animal, you might see his/her ears go back and his/ her body get stiff and still. This is usually enough for your cat to turn and run away!
